Non-profit

Burke Center For Youth is a nonprofit organization formed in 1973 to care for Texas children who are removed from their home environments due to abuse, neglect, or problems with the law. We are providing help and hope to children in crisis through our services. These are the children that belong to no one, and yet, they belong to us all. Help us to help these children find hope, healing and a place in a family.

Protect Texas

Colorado River Land Trust works to protect land and water in the Colorado River watershed—today and for future generations. Our service area spans from the high plains in west Texas, through the Hill Country, to the productive farmland and coastal fisheries and wetlands near the Gulf of Mexico.

As Texans, we believe in our responsibility to protect our own backyard and conserve our most valuable resources—our land, water, and traditions.

Our mission: protect land in the Colorado River watershed today and for future generations.

Right now, our land, water, and wildlife are at risk. To maintain the Texas lifestyle we all know and are proud of, we have to earn the right to our state’s landscape and its traditions. That starts with coming together to protect the place we call home.

In 2004, a small group of community volunteers got together with the idea of helping the elderly of Dripping Springs, with a focus of keeping them living independently at home. The Friends Foundation came to life in March 2004. Several years later, with the help of our members, supporters, volunteers and the community, we now have many outstanding programs which take care of our valuable senior citizens. Our Daily Bread is The Friends Foundation's flagship program along with financial assistance (income qualifying), Philips Lifeline Med-Alert and smoke alarm installation.

The goal of the Friends of the Dripping Springs Community Library is to promote the use of the Library, to foster an appreciation of its cultural and educational value to the community, and encourage and support improvement of the Library’s resources and services.

As we look to the future-and the ever-changing needs of our growing community-we invite you to join the Friend’s efforts to keep the Library vital and relevant. Your membership donation directly benefits and your volunteer time supports both the Library and our community. Join us, as we champion the community’s valuable asset, the Library!
